Hey everyone! I am in the process of painting my car. I don't want to buy to much material but I also don't want to not have enough. So the question is how much primer, basecoat and clearcoat is needed for an s13? Thanks, Kyle

I got a gallon worth of primer (mix's a gallon) and a gallon of single stage paint. I am spraying entire car, under the hood, all the jams. I waned to make sure I had enough cause I would rather not run out while spraying. I paid $180 and that also included a mask, tape, drop cloths, and they threw in free sticks and strainers.

How many coats are you looking to put on it will determine a lot of it and if your paint is still ok scuff and spray it . Paint usually a gallon will cover everything with a good couple coats as you may want more since yours is a single stage paint .(clear already in it )and it goes way deeper on prep and stuff look up how to paint your car via th web ,watch vids .

I only paid $180 for all of paint and its a decent paint brand. As long as everything is preped well and you get your paint from a reputable source you can get it for less that $700 and be happy.

I am planning on doing 3 to 4 coats of each. I am doing a bc/cc system.
