How much sound deadener needed?

I drive an 08 Altima Coupe and I plan on sound dampening the entire vehicle soon (doors, floor, trunk, and maybe roof).

How much sound dampener do you think I will need to do the entire job?

we use 2 trunk kits per area as a good rule of thumb. 2 kits for the floor, 2 for the roof and so on. when you do the doors take off the vapor barrier and trace it on the dynamat so you have a perfect outline behind the door panel and it seals your speakers tight. also recommend cover as much of the inner door skin as possible. makes the doors a little heavier so they are easier to close/seal. it'll feel like a brand new infiniti. good luck man!

You can guesstimate by measuring to figure out square footage needed. I did ONE back door on my truck recently and it was 4.25 sheets (17sq ft) from a Dynamat Xtreme bulk pack to do the outer skin, inner skin, and back of the door panel.

12"x12"=144 square inches"= 1sq ft. Lets' say your door is 24" tall and 36" long. 24" x36"= 864 sq inches. 864/144= 6sq ft. A bulk pack of Dynamat Xtreme is 36 sq ft or 6' x 6'. Measure the car and add it up. Keep in mind that if you want to do the back of the door panel or inner and outer skin of the doors, you will need additional material.
