This sounds a bit strange, so bare with me.

A neighbour of a friend was leaving the country and needed to empty his apartment of all items.

The last thing to go was a TS-style Seibon hood. Long story short, he just gave it to me.

At this point, I am wondering what value it has.

It has locking hood-pin receivers, which are unlocked, but I don't have the key.

The hood is in otherwise good shape.

He paid close to a grand for it, so I was thinking $400 - $500

Thoughts?

That sounds like a decent price if you ask me. Personally I may drop it down just a little more only for the fact that of those hood pin receivers. The person that buys it may just keep them for show but they aren't much use past that. The buyer would have to replace them so that they could have the pins and the key to go with it. And those particular hood pins last i checked cost around $100.

I know because i wanted to get some lol. Heck if I had the money I'd probably buy it from you. But sadly i don't.

Anyway all in all sounds like a good deal. Good luck with your sale

Agreed, half price is what I'd start as a price point. If you had a way to get working locks a new key-set you should ask for maybe 600-700 since you'd be saving buyer a lot of hassle.
