I got set of enkie racing S wheels pretty cheap, but they were cheap for a reason.

to me it looks like they came off a car that either busted a curb up in japan or was raced, wrecked and then put in a junkyard by the ocean. one wheel is bent and cracked on the inside lip. the crack is about 2"-3" long. I've had one place quote me $180-$200 to repair the wheel. does that sound about right or should I look elsewhere?

Also, all 4 wheels are dirty, corroded around the lip area, and the painted center section (2 piece wheel) is chipped and the paint is in generally bad condition. is it worth having a shop professionally restore them, or is it something I can do with a lot of sanding, clear coat, and repainting the centers? I can provide pics of how bad off these wheels are if it helps

That quote is gonna be universal where ever you got but just get a new set of wheels. Trust me on this one because you can never get the wheel perfect again no matter what you do. I should kno cus i already pissed money away on the same situation and the wheel is still not right. Learn by my ways and save for a new set.

anyone else with any repaired wheel experience? if it's going to be that bad off that I should just find new(er) ones, I will. but i don't see why a good shop cant round it out and weld the crack shut.

All local guys go to WHeels of America and everyone says they repair rims like new. People say they charge $100-120 per rim. Call closest location and see what they can do.
