How much RWHP to get into 13's?

How much would you need roughly to get into 13's in the 1/4 mile? I know it would vary depending on suspension and wheels but what would probably be the average for a lightly modified S14 and one with no updrades except a turbo?

I'd say with a good launch, 250 RWHP would probably do it.

I'd say for guaranteed mid-low 13's....

250whp, LSD, sticky tires, good clutch, weight reduction..

Well:

Orion got a mid 13 with a crappy 2.2'. MIND YOU THIS WAS ON HIS JWT ECU AT THE TIME! His car is MUCH faster and making more power with his hacked maf. I fully believe that his car is easily capable of running a low low 13. Especially because his is an S14 with NO weight reduction. His car is 2860 w/o driver. That's damn heavy.

Hope this gives you a good idea.

250rwhp will get you deep into the 13's. It'll get you 12's with slicks if you can cut a good 60'.

Derek Greaser on Fresh Alloy was running a 12.8 with 250hp. This was on his ka-t.

In a fully equipped S14 as well. Hell 200rwhp should be enough to pull high 13's in a 2900lb car.

^^^ I can't wait until people prove you wrong J-z.

As for Greaser pulling those times, ya he was pulling crazy fast times for what he had, he was also pulling 1.8-1.9 60' times. Drag Radials can get you those easy though.

I get consistent high-13s with easy launches...2.25 60-foots.

Usually about 13.9 @ 103.

But that trap indicates that lower 13s are possible - And my car weighed 2860 before the turbo. Added probably 50lbs (intercoolers and cast manifolds are heavy!!!), and I weigh 225 (but I'm 6'4", so lay off the fat-*** comments)...

So me at the track, in the car, it weighs in the neighborhood of ~3135lbs, and makes a little more than 240rwhp.

So take a little guy, say 150lbs, and a lighter S14 (remove spare, extra junk, and don't have full bad-*** stereo system) and you'll see mid-13s easy.

Later - Brian

With all season radials (Dunlop 5000A/S), a VLSD, and ~245rwhp I ran a 13.512 last year.

I would estimate since an s2000 put down 190 and hits 14flat with 220 you would be knockin on 13's with out problem
