How much RPM idle play is ok?

My idel bounses here and there from I would say 500 between 800, and stays steady around 650 (to what the SAFC-II is tuned for).

My timing my recently moved back and I read that might do it and was told that some rpm idle play is normal.

Is that normal?

It seems to like to do it now when its freezing cold here (40F)

I got a 95 ka-t ,safc 2, t3-t4 for the lasr 2 months and my idle also wonders a little. I have sr370 injectors. I have tried setting the iac and timing according to FSM and I would like to find an answer too.

Turns out I was running lean, my SAFC-II setting was a 33%, the shop put it back to 24% (before boost controller install and timing moved back) and its good now.
