how much quart do i put in for the trans

how much do i put in since im fillin it up from the shifter. im using redline mt90.

My SR20 took a gallon and can still put more in it. Should I drain it then if it's 2 1/2 Quarts?

drkidd yeah you should drain it just park it so its level and take out the fill bolt on the drivers side of the trany and any extra will come out

or u could let it spray out of the overflow tube which would make a huge mess & have ur whole car smelling like gearlube, just take out the fill bolt on a level serface
