search.

its not psi, its hp that kills the internals, 350rwhp seems to be a safe rating for stock everything on the engine. 10 psi from a smaller turbo gives less hp than 10 psi from a bigger turbo(because of heat).

turbo will max before your engiens power limit.

Smaller turbos give less power per PSI because they dont' flow as much at a certian PSI as a larger turbo. Flow=HP.

The stock block KA24DE can hold 350whp from what people have been saying lately. That is assuming a good tune.

So, how much psi can handle my turbo or how do you measure turbo's power.

via compressor flow map. here's a good database of them:

http://www.stealth316.com/2-3s-compflowmaps.htm

the page also explains how to read them. it's geard toward 3000GT/stealths but they supply raw maps and once you know how to understand it, you can search for them for whatever turbo you are interested in.

hope that helps.

Sounds like you bought some T3/T4 variant?

If that's the case, the TRIM is important...but...

I would bet that if it's a 50-rim or 57-trim...even a 60-trim...then ~12psi should get you to ~300rwhp or a little less, and 15-16 will most likely let you hit ~350.

The limiting factor on YOUR turbo is the .48 A/R exhaust housing...good for spool, bad for big #s IMO.

I'll bet it takes you an extra 1psi to reach those numbers I listed...the smallish exhaust housing will choke the motor a little.

do a search here.

Ivan tested the limits of a stock motor.

550hp rods start bending.

350 and below is safe for daily driven car, assuming you know what youre doing, and everything is tuned perfectly. 400 hp is the ceiling.
