Do you have upgraded fuel injectors? If you have stock injectors, I wouldn't go above 14psi just to be safe. And I wouldn't go above 16psi on 91-93 octane gas.

You don't have to "sleeve the block", you just have to upgrade the internals if you go past 500-550hp, thats when the stock internals will not be able to take it. And keep in mind that you are limited on space for turbo size. And also, its not all about power.

Hell yeah you can swap a 2JZ motor in man. The 2JZ is one of the best motors made...period. I think that would be madd tight dude. Get a set of T88's and dual 5" downpipes...you'll be making crazy power. No VG30 is gonna come close to the 2JZ man...they might act like it...but they can't.

How much boost you can run is very relative to the specs of the turbo's themselves not just the internals of the motor. The VG30DETT is a stout pig of a motor and easily eats 500WHP on stock internals. But the stock turbo's are far from being able to reach that. The exhaust housing need to be big enough to flow a large amount of exhaust pressure, the compressor has to be big enough to provide enough volume for the motor to eat. And all of this has to be done within the turbo's efficiency island. But thats another topic entirely.

It's not all about the air fuel mixture. Everything needs to be takin into account.
