you could have searched for this answer but 12psi max on the stock turbo 10 to be really safe... that should be around 230-260rwhp depending on the motor but you wouldn't know until you dynoed it ... and then you could get more tuned out of it probably

Questions like this are annoying. There is no answer for 'what horsepower' or 'what can my turbo handle'.. every piece on every engine has a different lifespan and different capabilities due to the fact that it's not possible to perfectly engineer everything to be the same... and yadda yadda.. we all know the rest.

Get on the dyno to answer your horsepower question.

Turn up the boost untill you blow the turbo into bits for your turbo question.

Stock turbo's are dumb.. if you want to start turning up the boost, save some money for a turbo that has been proven to handle the boost levels you desire. And generally, 1-3 psi above stock is safe for pretty much any stock turbo.

the only reason i asked what boost level, is cuz i was gettin conflicting reports....i read on one site that it can handle up to 18 lbs on the stock turbo...then another said stock boost is all it can take....

Ok check this out. MY friends RB25 dynoed at 275hp at 9psi, We took it back to the dyno turned the boost up to 12psi and it still made 275 peak HP. But before the peak it made a little more HP and TQ. Something happened around 5,500 and it just wouldn't make anymore power over the 275.

Since your RB25DET is a series two motor it doesnt have the ceramic wheel in it and is a ball bearing GT28. At least thats the turbo on my motor and can handle 18psi max which is stretching the limits of the turbine to max capacity, i would only run it at about 15 for power.
