How much power can the stock exhaust manifold yield? Just wondering if it will be necessary to replace.

usually cast manifolds hold heat in alot better and usually can hold whatever you can throw at em, if you want better flow just port em, but its not nesssary to upgrade unless you want to run a bigger turbo. i still run my stock cast manifolds with my hks gt2530's. so you should be fine unless you want to upgrade to a bigger turbo

depends how big of a turbo you can fit. Gt3076r fits with alittle help that should give you an idea how much power these manifolds will allow

If you have time you could try and port the exhaust manifold with some Extrude honing to increase the velocity of the exhaust gas.

Maybe he means at what power level does the stocker become inefficient?

FYI, looked into extrude honing and its 500+ bucks to get it done.

I'm running a stock exh manifiold at right around 400hp.

I'll be pushing it even further before I buy a tubular exhaust manifold too, so we'll see.

Thanks guys. Just curious on my possibilities. I searched before I posted the question and resulted nothing. So pardon my ignorance. I see they can handle some good power.

It like a log manifold, it will work and get the job done just not the best for flow. You will save money tho just don't forget to put the external gate on that puppy.
