How much power can you safely get out of the RB25 stock turbo?

ive seen 300rwhp out of the stock turbo with good tuning but thats really pushing it, i think 280 with some good tuning would be doable reliably, 250-260 would be safer, thats all i want out of mine until i upgrade at least

About 180rwkw is about as far as you can go if you want it too last. I have had mine highflowed and am sitting at 209rwkw on a moderate tune at 14psi.

Most of the people here in Australia that I know who have had the stock turbo at 190rwkw or above without highflowing have lost the turbo within 3-6 months.

Not meaning to threadjack, but what sort of modifications do you need to perform to mount an RB25 turbo to an otherwise stock RB20 engine? Anyone know?

its a bolt on affair. just remove and replace.

and i honestly wouldnt push the 25 turbo above 13lbs for long, its proven it dosent last worth a **** so if you are going for real power numbers just upgrade.

it doesnt work.1 steering column is in the way2 if u got around the steering column u would need to get a spacer to go between the turbo and the exhaust manifold3 u would need a new custom downpipe

numbers sound good but ur next upgrade that NEEDS to be done is a fuel pump. the difference in the car is amazing. also ur gonna damage the motor if u dont change it soon
