About how much feet of piping would be needed for intake piping w/ intake situated behind headlamp, from turbo to front mount to throttle, and downpipe to cat or beginning of exhaust or whatever. Just looking for an approximation.

Thanks, Jeremy

Not looking for an exact amount, to within 4 feet +/- would be close enough for me, I was just looking for an approximation and this would be for straight piping and bends together, I would be doing all the cutting ... guess I'll just have to break out the tape measure. =)

I used 2 180 degree mandrel bend U's for the intake/intercooler piping, and one 4ft. straight. All of those were 2.5 inch. For my exhaust system (full turbo back) it took 3 180 degree mandrel bend U's in 3 inch, and 1 ft. straight. However, I'm fairly certain the muffler shop took one of my U's as extra "payment" because I KNOW its not in the system ;) Thats ok though, I had no real use for it and the system ended up being very nice.

Hey nathan, what were the lengths on the 180 u bends, or was it just u bends only?

I'm using silicone elbows on the hotpipe, I don't expect to use much hardpipe at all. My intercooler has an aluminum hot pipe that comes up off it to head light level, so that helps. On the cold side I'll probably end up using the equivalent of 2 180 degree bends with a bit of waste.

Drift, it was just U-bends, I think they had about 12 inch legs on them. Thats for the 2.5 inch stuff, for the 3 inch stuff they MAYBE had 4 inch legs, if that :)

Thx, that was the approximate idea I was looking for, now at least I know the minimum of what I should buy, I may go one more 180 bend more ...

Yeah, I actually bought an extra, and I dont regret it :) It's very tight back where my downpipe is, so the first 10 inches or so of my downpipe is actually part of that extra 2.5in. bend. I figure its not much of a restriction since thats what the outlet of the turbo is, thats the diameter of the flanges hole, and I've seen mr2's make >500whp. on 2.5 inch exhaust systems.
