How much oil do i nee for my sr20det

im doing an engine swap on a blk top how much motor oil do i need to put in? (s13 blktop)

It should be noted that all of our fluid amounts from the S14 SR FSM (and the S13 CA manual) use imperial standards for measurement (since the manuals are from England). 3.25 imperial quarts = ~3.9 US quarts, but the odd thing is, I put 3.5 US quarts in my SR and it reads slightly over full I have the correct dipstick too (checked the part # on it), so I don't know what's going on with that.

I know the feeling. im running an oil filter relocation kit and a Greddy drift spec oil pan and that junk reads high as crap? freaks me out, but I still run it with 4 quarts...
