i just bought a 96 maxima with a locked up engine and im am putting a junkyard motor in it which i belive is a vq30 (not sure if 96 had vg) motor in it with 70k on it. Having the addiction to hp and speed i want to put some more threw this thing. i was thinking a 75 wet shot, ecu tuned, intake, and exhaust. i just wanted to no if anyone knows or has experiance on how much nitrous can i run reliably on the stock motor?

You COULD run a 200 shot. You'd just have to do it CORRECTLY.

A vq30 will laugh a 75 shot, provided the AFRs are good.

I have run a 200 shot on a stock VQ30. Not too many times but it did hold it. Stock timing with 115 octane fuel and 2 step colder plugs. It ran 12.1 in the 1/4.

If your racing the thing every weekend, doing anywhere from 10-20+ runs a night, run a 100 shot.
