my car ran 147000, finally 2 days ago, i think the clutch's broke. The clutch pedal was way too soft and leak, so i changed master cylinder, bleed it, it saw end of slave cylinder was moving, pusing it, works fine. But still, pedal is too soft, and i can't change gear. did i do anything wrong on bleeding? or it's usually for old clutch? beforce i it broke, the engine couldn't rev more than 3500 rpm because it slided too much.

how much does it usually cost to change clutch or/and flywheel?is 700 too much? ( i think so, i hate it when mechanics smile while talking to me)

Sounds almost certain that it is not a bad clutch. You may have gone wrong on bleeding, or you could still have a leak somewhere. You saw the slave cylinder moving, but it may not have been moving enough. Of course it is possible that something happened inside the transmission which makes the pedal go down easy, but it's less likely. I guess if the clutch was already slipping like mad, you could go ahead and get the clutch replaced and worry about any possible leaks when you've taken care of that. That way you know it's not something inside the transmission that is acting up.

I don't know what prices look like. Wait for someone else to chime in on that. Is that price for a stock clutch? If so, you could get an awesome aftermarket clutch for less than that if you install it yourself. You can find plenty of help here if you choose to go that route.

its not hard to replace a clutch, took me and my friend about 6hr to do it, no need to have a mechanic to screw you over. saved me over 300 bucks in labor

Got a clutch from autozone $187 but this was a P.O.S. too late now.....Cost $250labor. You can get clutches usually changed for $500.Real simple to change but pain in the *** if u don't have a lift because you don't got room to move under your car.
