and poor student wins by a landslide!!:D

I applied for a full-time position (i take classes on two days out of my week) at Petco. Hopefully they'll pay me more than my current pet-supply job. They give me $7 an hour, but i've work there for a year and a half, and was promised a raise (last year)--just like all my other co-workers, and despite requests, nothing has happened. Plus, the company i work for evades there taxes, is corrupt. etc etc. The only thing i've gained from the job is knowledge about pet nutrition and such.

I make a lot of money but I never have any to spend. I probably have less than the students here actually. I wish I lived at home with mommy and daddy now that I make good change, I could buy anything I wanted. Kids, women and houses are expensive as hell. Oh... and booze too.

Sigh ... I graduated from college before most of you all were born, I think! Oh, well ... :(

FWIW, years of experience and position do add to the annual compensation levels ...

Ah, but when I graduated from college, I had less than $50 in the bank and had to survive till my first paycheck. Also had lots of student loans and owed my roommate four months rent.

So, I took a deep breath, got a $1k personal loan from a bank - the collateral was the job offer letter, since I did not have any credit cards or parents to help out - put a $95 down-payment on a 1978 Ford Fiesta (price new was about $5000), paid the $400 insurance and plates and went for it! Rest is history. :D

It all takes time! You gotta have patience! :)

look at the results, and everyone is always *****ing about how we "lowball."for me... if someone is selling a catback for 300, and I have 225, then I offer 225 shipped. Its not a lowball, its just trying to get along with the money I make.

I'm poor as hell, but I actually make an acceptable amount an hour. It's just that I go to school full time so I can't work that much. Then I have to spend what I do make on rent and my school projects (architecture = super expensive), and by the time I'm done, I'm lucky to afford Tom Ramen. I need to find a way to become extremely wealthy.

I can't complain, I get paid to sit at this desk and surf NICO all day.

Sometimes I have to log off to see patients, but It's a pretty cool job.

Tom Ramen? yeah he is expensive, but you gotta pay if you want the best. I always wake up with a smile anyway.
