Hey guys . . .im trying to make a decision here being that Im a broke *** college student, saving up for a SR just might not be feasable right now. So I was wondering . . . . if you are going for N/A tuning on a KA24DE how far can you go before gas milage starts to suffer? Also while Im posting . . does anyone make individual throttle bodies for the KA24DE?

Kileen, you going to Central Texas? If you are strapped for cash maybee you should leave the engine alone. I mean what money you spend do it on the suspension, drivetrain and body. That way hopefully by the time you are ready to buy an SR or CA or RB or go sick NA-KA your car will be ready to handle it. There are plenty of things a well rounded street car can use other than a motor; 300zx brake conversion, struts and stabilizer bars, LSD, polyurethane bushings, subframe connectors, etc. I would entertain myself with that for the moment.:thinker

welp . . . the plan is to replace all my bushings and then get a new rear sway bar . . . I can feel the road everywhere I go with what I got on the car now but its harsh as hell whenever the road isnt perfectly smooth, my car handles pretty nice, Ive yet to see any of my friends take some of these turns on these backroads as fast as I do in their Honduhs and Integruhs.

Well I was in Killeen I'm in Waco now, going to school at TSTC.

(Yes I know I shoulda put Civic up there or changed tegs to Acura but it sounds better)

gude bore the throttle bodies I think but yeah I would hold off on the engine. I have an intake, exhaust, strait pipe and mileage hasn't suffered. Plan on a pulley and ecu, cam. Prob will then but that is expected.

I would definately stick with suspension if you are kind of broke.....mabye save for a good set of coilovers or something. Increasing HP by a reasonable level costs a lot more cash.If you are gonna switch to a sr motor, I wouldnt get too deep into engine mods.....but with standard bolt on stuff, your mileage shouldnt suffer if you dont drive it hard all the time.

I used to go to school out there.....theres some pretty good driving spots behind the school and down old dallas highway. And you can get paint work done for dirt cheap at the school too.

Hi guys I have a question also maybe someone can help me. I'm fairly new to the whole car scene and im still learning everyday from this forum.

IF i say again IF i ever save up enough and learn more about cars in the future and decide to get an engine swap, If i was to get an 3inch catback exhaust such as Apexi N1 or HKS Hiper will I still be able to use it with a SR20? and what about AEM Intake? will I have to take that out when the new motor goes in as well as headers?

3 inch will prolly be too large for N/A. But yes, i think most people on this board have 3" w/ turbo engines. AEM intake will be no good, and the headers will not work either. Exhaust, fuel pump (also hurt N/A performance slightly?), suspension....that's about all u should think about now if ur still undecided about swapping.
