Just out of curiosity. Someone is selling a 1990 R32 GTS-T for 13k not legalized in Georgia. I'm not concerned with the legality issues so please do not bring it up. But for a going price of a gtst without it having a title, doesn't that seem steep?

That seems quite steep. You could get a FOB shipped straight from japan for >4K. He is offering nothing else beyond that.

FOB is abbreviation of "Free on board". FOB price applies for all cars exported from Japan unless you come to our yard to take a car by yourself. FOB price includes FOB export arragements in Japan (export and customs documents, documents translation), delivery of car from yards to port and loading onto the ship.

Bull****. Once the car landed here US Customs would impound the car. A better comment would be "this is how much I am willing to spend to own thiscar"

Yeah, that's a rip-off! I know what car you are talking about, and believe me...it ain't worth it. I can get you a super clean GTR R32 right now with 50 something kms, gunmetal, gold bbs wheels, stock engine (not molested) for right at $21k, not to mention, titled and registered. That is a tad high too, but the car is beautiful for the age!

Hundreds of people bring in skylines without getting impounded. The trouble remains in getting is licensed/registered. Getting it into the states is relatively easy (judging from the number down in Florida/Georgia on autotrader at any given time).

If that is a motorex one that is legalized, that seems to be about the going rate (maybe 3 or 4k too high, but in the ballpark). If it is a grey-market one(i.e. only titled/registered in that state), that too seems to high (like 10k too high) from what seems to be the "going rate".
