Hey, I am a day or 2 away from purchasing a base 91 240 Fastback. It has around 91k miles and the car is very strong. Mechanically, everything on the car is perfect. The only problem is that there are scratches on front and rear bumpers, along with the headlights. The paint is faded pretty bad (you can see aluminum color) on the top of all the fenders and the roof. I only noticed 1 rust spot which is on the trunk. The paint around it is starting to bubble. The interior is in good condition, except for a hole in the driver's seat and some spots on the carpet and floor mats. The people that own it are have been good friends of my family for 10 years. I know they have babied the car and done all maintenance. I just need the car to last me about 1 to 2 years before I start swapping engines and what not. I was under the impression that the car was worth around $1800. KBB valude is about $2100. At first, they wanted about $2500, but we later agreed to around $2000. I just want to know if you all think that it is worth 2k (or more/less).

Also, what years (if any) did LSD appear on the 240. And what is the SUPER-HICAS system? I assume that it is a LSD.

Sorry to bore you all with the long post, but it would really help me.

Thanks, Johann

2000 seems like a good price to me. super HICAS is a four wheel steering system. it sucks on the 240 IMO. it sucks on most cars, like dodge stealths.
