Ryan - KBB on that car is $10,893. As you probably know, the mods don't typically add any value (and can hurt value in some cases).

It'd help if you listed your location, and some pics... but that's a good starting point. If you can get book value or above, you've done well.

Welcome aboard!

I live in Michigan, one year out of college. Z's aren't as popular up here. Another reason I'm quite interested in purchasing one!

This will be a summer, daily driver. It won't be seeing to many steep driveways, but how worried should I be with the car being lowered 2inches?

The guy selling is asking $12,200.. That seems a little high, especially since the mods don't add much value. (The wheels, if "work" seem to be worth some $)

Thanks!

A few thoughts (pics didn't work, btw)... In Michigan, I'd subtract some for corrosion. The seller can say it's never seen snow, but unless you inspect the undercarriage closely, assume it has rust. If it's lowered on coilovers, no big deal - you can raise it a bit. A 2" drop is not much for a Z, however.
Those wheels, if authentic, are good - and can be factored as an "upgrade."

I don't think you'd be too far off offering $10,500 cash, and bumping up to $11k if he's negotiating.

Yep - Looks tastefully-done, which is a plus.

Good luck - Let's get her into the family!

So true, my Z has seen plenty of snow in the Blue Ridge Mountains and also driven on clean roads in winter that were white with salt. There's no way to keep that stuff away from the underside unless you limit your driving to the core spring/summer season (which in Michigan isn't very long).

Looks nice, though the front lip and the halo's aren't my style but I'd certainly try to make sure you get the wheels in the purchase provided they're genuine and not knock-offs sporting Work stickers. Even if they still might be worth keeping and if you can snag a cheap OEM seat (or maybe the seller still has them) you can have a nice set of wheels with some good summer tires and a cheap(er) set mounted with all-seasons or if you plan on running it in winter with snow tires and mount some good all seasons (I'd recommend Michelin AS3's) on the Works.

Welcome to NICO! :badger
