the clutch is rated at ~350 torque.
it is a 3 puck clutch
I am using a fidanza flywheel, which actually uses some OTHER kind of friction surface (not metal, but more like the clutch material itself)
now:
does this mean you can actually run ~350 torque at the flywheel safely? should you ASSUME that this is really the upper maximum and that you should probably run much less than this?
I stupidly did not think that one through very hard, and now its in the car....
350 torque, assuming 20% drivetrain loss, is 280 torque at the wheels.
That is basically EXACTLY what I want, but I am not sure if this is safe.
mind you: I dont plan on burning out, drag racing, or anything.
just spirited driving....
But I also dont want my clutch to disintegrate and destroy my transmission (in other words: I dont want to push it if it is not safe to do so)
any thoughts?
