I have an auto 99 dodge neon (btw this forum has changed since I last posted) with 19,000 miles on it. I was wondering how much it's worth if I want to sell it myself. It is a rebuilt salvage and runs just fine.

Hmmm, a 99 Dodge Neon..:thinker..I'll give you a consumer reports magazine and a swift kick in the crud hole for it!! That's what someone should have gave you when you brought that tragedy home for the fist time.

Neons are one of the easiest cars to steal... leave it out in a parking lot for a night and it will be gone..

Check the at kbb.com, or http://www.edmunds.com/products/tmv/index.html.

The salvage title will turn a lot of people off, and might deflate your price by about 30-40% off of the private party number.

Good luck. I'd dump the Neon as soon as possible, before it depreciates further. It is on a steep curve.

Unless that Neon was a gift, I think you're going to take a loss reselling it. 30%-40% below the Edmunds price sounds reasonable but the real trick is finding someone willing to risk thousands on a used car that doesn't hold it's value, not very reliable, plus was totalled at least once. Good luck.
