Tell me you guys have paid less than $130.00 for a Q key. I am down to one (not including the valet) and the local price is $130. What have you all paid (if anything)?

I just paid $34 for a copy of my no-security chip key (1990 Q45) here in Memphis.

When I got mine made it was something like $65 for two keys minimum from a traveling locksmith.

Good locksmiths will have the special machine needed. Call around. The blanks won't say Infiniti on them but that's a good thing... if you lose your key it won't be THAT obvious which car the key belongs to.

I bought a blank off eBay for $6. You'll have to call around to see how much it is to cut it - It's done on a 2-sided laser key cutter.

$93.81 for a replacement big-a$$ original Ti key (already cut to your VIN) from Joe at Scottsdale.

Smokin' deal, buddy.

jaggraveyard has key blanks for $8.99, http://www.jaggraveyard.com/infiniti.htm , never bought from them, and you will have to find a place with laser key cutter. the key in the pic looks weird, though.

Just keep in mind that most places charge the same thing if you come with the blank or without... seems like there's a guy in Anderson SC that cuts them even with just a photo copy of your key? Maybe someone will remember...

Could be worse... The marketing criminals at Toyota are trying to set a record for the world's most expensive replacement key with the remote transponder built in at $172 on my '98 Land Cruiser. Makes the Q key sort of a bargain.

Don't know if he is still around, but he was good, trustworthy, and inexpensive.
