how much hp will a/c delete add?

i have a 93 240sx coupe and i have a turbo kit coming in soon. so i tried to find a delete bracked and they dont make one. my friend said he just took the belt off. so thats what i did. P.S. just wonderin

any answers let me know

It wont add any horsepower at all. No extra fuel, no extra air, just less drag on your crank. The difference will be marginal at best. Just a little quicker rev.

Are you taking the whole compressor off, or just the belt? Not that it will make a difference with performance; but you might have clearance issues with the compressor and your turbo kit.

I have a sohc i took the belt off my ac since it took a dive any way and i added a electric and got rid of the mechanical fan on it, made a noticeable difference.

ehhh you wont even really notice a differnece in power if your going to no use your A/C might as well remove the pump and brackets and of course the lines. You will save weghit though that pump is a heavy sob.

Right, when the A/C is off the comprssor clutch is disengauged and the pully spins freely (no drag)

Removing the whole HVAC system will take off a good bit of weight, but i think it dumb to do unlees its a track car

yea thats why i was looking for the delete. they said i would need to take it off to get the clearence for the hot pipe

Tell ya the truth i never heard of a delet for it. When i removed mine i didnt have to do anything but just put my belts back on.

it'll probably get ya as much power as putting a wing on........ i don't imagine much..
