How much HP from built DE and ITB's?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

hey, I have a friend who bought a stock S13 ka24de and doesnt want to turbo.
Instead, we are thinking ITB's and a built engine,
so:
GSXR ITB's,
Megasquirt,
EDIS-4,
aftermarket injectors,
Arias race pistons (10.7, 89.5mm)
O&J cams.

how much performance could we expect from that?
we want 200whp or more

also, is there anything else we could/should do?
would we need stronger rods?

thanks!

I don't think the ITBs are an absolute necessity. 200hp from a high comp fresh and tight 2.4 should be doable. I got 150hp from a 20+ year old CA18DE with just bolt ons and the stock intake and TB. If you intend to wind it up and it sounds like you are, since you are already doing pistons and a full rebuild a set of aftermarket rods would be good insurance. I've seen more than a few KAs with rod sticking through the block from simple shenanigans and you are going past that for sure. Make sure you support the motor with an equal amount of attention to the oiling and cooling systems.

You will need a better exhaust system as well. If you're able to do a custom header, you can probably get better results than with anything on the market.
