Just in the groves or the entire lip and around the bolts?

ASAP please...

Its off right now and I'm going out to remove the gasket now...

Apply a continuous bead about 1/8" in diameter to the groove. Move the tube along as you pump the RTV in, making sure there are no air pockets in the groove. Too little and there won't be a good bond. To much, and you'll get too much squeezeout inside the pump that could break off. Go around the inside of the fasteners, not the outside.

Old gasket is off!

Should I let the RTV sit before tighting it back up?Does it need time to setup?

no...just tighten while wet.....it will seal itself up quickly.
