Thinking hard about going 2jz and a big GT4094 in my S13. Needless to say I have a lot of money in my SR. Here is the summary......

$3500+20months and about 5K miles on fully built @400whp 11sec sr20!!!86.5/8.5 arias pistonseagle H beam rodsacl bearingsARP head/main/and rod boltsnew oem timing chain and tensionerblock bored .30 over and decked at RPM performance in NashvilleHead cleaned up and cometic 1.1mm head gasket

$3500+turbo and fuel setup...GT2871R .64 turbomegan tubular mani and turbo elbow3" turbo inlet with cobra MAFJGY top feed fuel railmsd 72lbs. injectorswalbro 255lb/min fuel pumpnismo FPR and gaugeJWT rom tune and apexi SAFC piggybackNGK AFX wideband o2greddy M-spec FMIC tail BOV

$900+Brand new tomie 260 procams & BC springsalso replaced oem rockers, HLA's, and inner and outter valve cover gaskets when doing the cam job

Other parts that will come with the drivetrain...jgy 10.5lbs flywheel-$300newJGY pully set-$200newfresh S14 KA transmission swap and about 300 miles on competition 6 puck ceramic clutch.fresh candy red powder coated valvecover and homemade alum plug cover, and engine tq dampenerearls stainless oil return and catchcan line with red anodized fittings....

All of the prices above are estimated and for parts only. This doesn't include labor on the bottom end rebuild or the head work and cam install! Any of you that have a similar setup know that you will have every bit of $10000 in your drivetrain if you try to build this setup from scratch. I run redline MT90 or royal purple in my transmission and rear end and mobil 1 15w50 in the summer and 10w40 in the winter and I have a filter relocator and oil cooler with a 5 quart oil capacity. Everything in this car is built to last!

I'm sure I'm forgetting something. I don't know about swapping out for a stock harness and ECU and I might keep the tial BOV, fuel pump and wideband for my 2jZ setup. This is just a thought and I want to see what you guys think my drivetrain is worth? I just don't think I want a 600whp track only SR when i can have a 600-800whp 2jZ in a 2500lbs S13 and street drive it all day long.

bump. so how much should I ask for it. I would sell the car but clean S13 coupes are hard to come by and I don't care to much for the hatch. I was thinking $10000 for the car or $6000 for the drivetrain? Am I crazy? I just don't think you can get a coupe like this for $7-8K on ebay.

Why would you dump all this money into a car, and then just decide you want to sell it at a loss?

because people are lowballers and everyone is looking for a good deal.

OP:I would consider buying another $600 chassis and moving your swap to that as a running tuned car will net you a greater return than a swap that is out of the chassis. There is a little more work but if its a running car you have a broader radius to be able to sell to because it drives and someone can just drive it away. But keep in mind that motors are difficult to sell because you have to be able to prove that it is in good condition. also, your prices are right at the point of where someone could do it themselves and almost spend the same amount. which means it will be an even harder sell.

Becuase I want more power and I don't want a GT40 on a 2.0L. I can sell my turbo and fueling setup and put a big topmount on my SR(track only) for or I can sell the entire drivetrain or car and put a 2jZ in a S13 and street drive a 2500lbs car with 700+whp!

Do you think you can build a 400whp built bottom end SR like mine for less than $8000 much less $6000? I think you will have closer to $10K in it than $8K if you have a chassis and start from scratch. You will have at least $5000-$6000 in the engine, internals, and cams with another $3-4K to spend on turbo and tune.

$6000<$10000
