$4500 sounds right for a non-SE. If you were selling it you could probably get $5000 from the right buyer, but $4500 is a good price for your car from how you have described it.

My guy says $1750. If it's older than 2000, you'll be way better off selling it yourself.

Trade-in right?

Pretty cool that we actually get a question answered (at least on the trade-in part) by an actual Nissan salesman/manager.

Yep. Well, when we get a Nissan in that's older than 2000, we generally sale it wholesale if it's in good shape. The more money we have to put into it to resale it, the less you'll get on a trade. Nature of the beast.

yea, sounds about right, the mechanic that owned the car before me worked at the dealership and traded it in for an integra sedan.

OK Ive got a 2k2 Spec V that im thinking about trading in(now that the person who wants it can't buy it for several months)I wanted to sell it outright because I know that I can get way more for it than on trade but hey im not to patient.LOLIts a 2002 Spec V w/ the sunroof and audio package. Its got just under 31k miles and is in great shape.Well kept and reg. oil changes. How much can I expect to get for it on trade.I do have 1 bad thing going for me Nissan is offering a $1500 rebate on new 2003's.(Im looking to trade it in at an Infiniti dealership w/o a Nissan one near by)Also does the price of the car that im looking at factor into the trade in amount?Ive herd that if your looking to spend big $$$ on a new car you ar more likely to get more $$$ on trade than lets say a used car.

You kind of screwed right now on the trade in. Your car is worth par 10,000 as a tradein and that G20 is worth 10,000-12000 dollars (I think you could walk away with 11 easily if you pay cash)

So, why not put your car up for sale for 11000 and I think you will find a buyer soon.

Yeah your right.I priced a new 2k2 Spec V (03) for 19,800.Then the $1300 rebate is $18500, then if you can talk them down some.I still owe 16500 on mine.I know no dealer is going to pay off $16,500 to sell a 11,000 car.LOLNow if I was looking at a G35...../me slaps his face!Bad thoughts:help

Lets see, you have -16,000 sunk in your spec V, you want a 12,000 car, and you want a 10-20000 project for that car??

38-48,000 dollars-20-22000= 18-26,000

damn do you have cash under your mattress or something

PS Jayson, how much would you guys give him for a tradein when he wants to purchase a G20?

We're talking about $10,500 - $11,000. It's clean but high mileage for a 2K2. I wouldn't be surprised if someone tried to offer you less. I don't sell Infiniti's, John but if he was on my lot he wouldn't have to worry about it. I could bump my appraiser up maybe a grand to do the deal.
