Click the search button in the upper right corner of the window and look it up, I bet you find a lot of answers...

Also check out some of the links all over the board, that will help you out a lot too.

The price really depends on what all you are looking to buy. Do you want a front clip or just the engine? I've seen them priced anywhere from around $1,000 for just an sr20 up to $6 or $7,000 for one with upgrades already installed. Also do you plan on doing this yourself or are you going to need a shop to do it?

$7,000 MIGHT get you buy... theres alot of hidden costs. Believe me, you will end up spending like $10K to get evrything running like you want it.

already swaped is cool, it may or may not be raped but when you see the car going through the transitions and if you work on it yourself you end up liking it and appreciating it alot more. i would personally not buy it swapped.

7k is plenty many shops around here are 3k for labor+clip and if u want a fmic, fuel pump, a/c, downpipe, all that junk its another k or 2. thats redtop though blacktop is a little more expensive not much though. SR frontclips a couple years ago were like 1200 for reds now it can be upto like 2500-3k thats sick. its like a luxury to have an sr now back then we did it cuz it was cheap vs KA lol. a lot of ka parts are so expensive even gay things like power steering pumps cost so much.

So does this mean you have $7k to spend on a car AND the swap? If so, you're definately going to have to get an S13 for a couple thousand dollars then spend the remaining $5k on the swap and fixing all the lil' things that are bound to be wrong with a 12+ year old car...

Let me see, $7000? I would say IAP turbo kit, suspension and brake upgrade. I have a feeling you'd be happier with that than spending $7000 on an SR and still needing to put in suspension and brakes on top of it, you should get the same whp if not more and you'll actually be able to put it to the ground and stop it!!! I love the idea and the practice of swapping SR motors but after comparing the price to a KA24DE turbo'd I just can't justify it anymore.

it's not so simple as just buying a turbo kit and slapping it on.. doing anything to a car costs money regardless of how you do it.

fuel pump, bigger injectors (detonate w/o it)bigger radiator, e fanfmic, piping, (...)motor/transmission mounts (stocks are done)z mafs, plug, adaptor, harness (250hp +)

you're looking at probably ~2grand extra there or less depending on how ghetto it's done...

add all that junk up + your turbo kit +other crap i mightve forgotten like an ecu tune etc. also i wouldn't trust a car i haven't driven all my life... i'd rebuild or atleast tear down the motor for inspection thats $ too.

all that money and the motor still feels sluggish, revs like junk, responds like... do what you want not my money.

what brake upgrade...? z32 fronts? it won't help much unless you track. it's basically just for extra heat dissipation/tolerance. unless you track/race and the stocks are warping/fading theres no need to upgrade... braking distance won't decrease much either.

not trying to bash too much but problems/situations will arise and you gotta be down to put money in it. we aren't dealing with brand new cars so we can't just slap on a turbo kit and call it a day.

Depends on whether you're doing it yourself or not. If your doing it yourself it wont cost you more than $3500. And with the rest of that money you can get an exhaust, intake, camsahfts, ecu, turbo upgrade for the SR, 7 grand is enough to do pretty much anything with the 240sx.

Yes lets slap a 2-3k turbo kit on an engine that has 100k+ and wait and see what breaks 1st.
