So I have been researching awhile on doing a rb25 built for 600hp. But this guy I know has a blown rb20 with just the motor. No turbo or intake manifold or transmission. I want to know it the rb20 will be able to handle 600. Im plan on doing pistion and rods, fully built head, pfc and sorcing a rb25 transmission. Also would that motor be worth 800 bucks. It has a cracked pistion but the head is in perfect shape.

Skip it, by the time you buy all the other crap you will need it won't be worth it. I sold a blown RB20 for 150 bucks several years ago.

800! for a blown RB20 lol. I think 150 sounds about right if the crank is still good.
