Auto SOHC:

- T3/T04e 50 trim/.48 AR- 3" sr20 downpipe - Apexi SAFC-II - Taurus E-Fan- MSD BTM- SR20 SMIC + Coldpipe - SR20 Hotpipe

- JGS KA24E Turbo Kit Starter Package + JGS400 Wastegate - walboro fuel pump - NA RX7 460cc - wideband o2 (aem uego or Zeitronix), boost, oil pressure gauges- NGK Spark Plugs BKR6E11- Hayden 404 Automatic transmission Cooler

That WILL be my setup (top part already have, bottom part will get). How much will the smic limit me? (I also have the zenki 180sx bumper with a oem hole in the bumper for a smic) Currently only have 2.5" piping as well (2.5" cat + 2.5" piping + 3" muffler) I will eventually get a fmic, but I wanted to remain stock looking for now. My main goal is just to get it running, not huge hp goals just yet.

I'd imagine 10psi is pushing it with that turbo on a smic...

10 is a safe bet, and if it's prolonged periods of boost, then even less. The SMIC heat up pretty quick. Use alcohol injection and you'll be safe for 18 or so PSI I'd say. Its a good setup, similar to mine.

I'd suggest buying a knock meter, like one from MSD. Works great for me and has saved me lots of times.

Well, it wouldn't be for a looong time. And it's only street driven as of now. I was just making sure that I wouldn't be in any danger with the smic. I wasn't planning on running more than 7-8 psi anyway, until I got a fmic setup.

When I was in Japan I had a Skyline GTS-t, I ran it with the stock T3 and SMIC at 14psi for about a year. Your turbo is alot more efficient then the stock T3 I was using. But my ECU was also tuned for boost in stock form...

Seriously, you should build a DIY Alky Injection kit. Once I started using Alky, I never looked back.

Cars used to run without intercoolers. Safe is a word I would use sparingly. Basically, I would not go beyond 4-5psi on that little thing. I think it would soak bad. If you spray it, it might help, though.

My friend ran low 13's in his 98' eclipse gsx w/stock side mount and 16-18psi. He only had an apexi exhaust, k&n filter, greddy bov(s), and an hks manual boost controller.

The gsx i/c is also larger than an sr's so I'll try it out soon.
