I'm trying to decide if I want to stagger or not when I get my new wheels/tires. I was wondering how much you guys think I would save by being able to switch the fronts to the back and avoid so much shoulder wear. THis is on an S14, I really just want to see if I will kick myself later for going with a stagger, or if the cost difference will be minimal.

Cost is the main reason why you'd rotate: to slow down the ever quickening shoulder wear on the fronts

no sense in staggering if you're even hesitant about tire replacement costs. I'd advise against the stagger package.

The initial cost vs return is great! car looks good, fat meats in the rear.. but replacing tires frequently will have you singing a different tune. So it's really up to each individual and what they think is acceptable cost.

I have the 17x8 and 17x9 stagger and I love the way it looks. BUT I did get flatspots on my fronts from hard braking and I couldn't rotate front to back,so I had to spend $200 for a set of new tires for the front. If I were to do it again, I'd go with all one size. BWT, I have a set of bronze fn01r-c staggered w/ tires for sale right now

Well, some good points were brought up. I think I really would get fed up with paying a lot just to have good looks. I'm not really at a stage where I can afford to do that.
