how much do you pay for insurance?

I wanted to buy a Z32 soon, until I called to get a quote from my insurance company (Allstate). Even though I am under my parents policy, they quoted me:$382/month for the TT or$352/month for the 2+2That is with full coverage. I could barely afford this, but way more than the $210/month I'm paying for my GS-R right now. What do you guys pay, for what kind of coverage, and with what company?thanks muchTim

I got my first z32 when I was 18, 1t was a 1993 the car was only about 3 years old then and it was a non turbo. My insurance at the time and keep in mind I had a clean record was $3300 for 6 months. however i loved the car and have had one ever since.Good luckPs try allied Im 26 now and pay only $112 per month full coverage on a 1990 z32 twin turbo

i have a '87 Z N/A im 17 and im paying $1700 a year under my parents policy but than again my car is 16 yrs old

My 6 month payment droped by $23 when I traded my 02 Spec V in on my 04 350z.

That was the deciding factor on getting my new car!;)

really? what insurance company do you have?

right now im 18 and my dad and i are looking to get a 91 300zx TT, he wants a car to work on and cruise in when he retires, and i wouldnt mind driving the car, lol

at this point, there are 3 drivers in my family, and soon my sister will get her licence.

we currently have 6 insured cars which are as follows

95 525i97 i3097 celica st98 civic dx93 protege dx96 e150 van

we are getting rid of the civic and want to replace it with a 300zx, the current one we are looking at is a 91 auto TT.

you guys think the insurance would be too much more than $2500 a year?

keep in mind it will be under my dad's policy, listed as a recreational/pleasure car, with me as a 20% driver, my dad as 80%, and driven say, 3000 miles per year.

oh and my dad's record is very good and i have had 1 accident wtih $1000 in damages, listed as neither driver at fault(another car forced me into a car next to me, broken headlight and scratched/dented fender) which did not make the insurance go up

Anthony,The best thing to do is to have your dad call your insurance company with a vin #.Just find a car similar to what you are thinking about getting and get the vin.Your ins. co. will punch it in and they should be able to give you an exact $ amount.Evey co. is differant.

mine didn't change from my 240sx i have state farm (dunno if its just ohio)

so bonus... i pay like 430 every 6 months and im 24 my 240 costs me 280 extra each 6.

First. I hate this question. There is nothing meaningful you will ever aquire from it.

per 6 months:1984 300ZX AET: 257.981984 300ZX NA: 244.681993 Ford Bronco: 429.81

What does all this mean for you? Nothing. Why? because you don't have any basis for comparison shopping.What does that mean? It means that you haven't supplied enough information. You need:- zip code- insurance company- coverages included- coverage amounts- deductables- driving record- other vehicles on the policy

Heck, I've heard of people getting two different quotes from the same insurance company for the same coverages because they talked to two different people.

Your best bet is to call several different companies in your area and get quotes.

How do you guys get insurance under your parents? How does that work cause my insurance for my 240 at the age of 19 by myself with a clean record under progressive is about 120 a month.

If my dad had it with full coveradge it would e like uhhh 50 bucks a month haha. But how do I go under my parents for insurance?

If you were on your parents pollicy then their rates would go up a bunch.Thats why they put you on your own.You just have to suck it up and don't get any tickets/ no wrecks. Your ins. will go down over time.

Well iw as thinking about giving my car to my dad and letting him put full coveradge on it. That way I can be secondary and pay a low *** insurance rate.

talk to the insurance agent and have them explain coverages. there is obviously a lot you don't understand about insurance and coverages.

Yeah the only thing is I know I dont know anythign about coveradge at all. But my parents??!! I was expecting them to know it like "woah" hardcore since they ahve relaly good pricing for coveradge and what not. Alas I assume they know probbly as much as me and that aint much haha.
