a vert is some what "special" so i figure they go for more then the avarage 240, but i also see them priced anywhere from 1800 for a super s*** one, or 8900 for a balls out modified one

so what does a "in good shape some what modified one" bring to the table? thinking up stepping up to a 350z, but i don't want to have a loan out the a**, so im wondering where to price my 240 and actually be able to sell it.

the actual trade in value is no where near what a 240sx goes for...i understand it's what it "should go for", but in reality people are getting 200%+ more profit from there cars then they should....and kbb is currently being a pain in the a**...

They go for way more than their worth. Same goes for any 240sx.

It's ridiculous actually.

Just got to wait for that "one guy" that HAS to have it. My s13 went for way more than I'd pay for it.

The foremost experts on S13 droptops are on this forum.

Post up some pics, and I'm pretty sure we can give you a range that's within a couple hundred dollars of what you can expect to reasonably ask (and get) for the car.

Paint it one solid color and fix those awful looking wheels and you could reasonably expect no lower than $4,000.

edit: after reading that mods list, I would say you could expect no lower than $3,000. Carbon fiber hoods are often not sought after from 240 owners so you might wanna get a stock one...

I can't tell much from that one pic, but I'm gonna be honest (even if it's not what you wanna hear).

I'm going to lay it out like someone looking to buy a rare car (which it is):

Wrong front bumper leads me to wonder if it's been hit. Panel gaps support this as well (definitely work on that). Front fender extensions are missing, kinda hard to find. I'm guessing the car's been painted, since the black strips are missing. No boot over top. I'd bet the door panels are bad (never seen a vert with good ones). Get the stickers off the windshield, and give it a GOOD cleaning.

We don't know mileage... where the car is from.... whether the top works, whether everything else works, if the swap was done right (and clean)... need pics of the undercarriage (to look for rust) and under the hood...

My estimation (based on the VERY limited info) is $1200 to $3000.

yeah im fixing the bumper, i have it held on with zipties for now, since i don't have any of the metal mounts or anything to mount it. Yeah i got ride of those exstensions when i got the pignose bumper, yeah i painted it, it was 2 shades of white w/ black thrown in there. Door panels are actually really really really nice O.o

milliage is up in the air, the odomiter doesn't work, the car is from NJ, thats where i got it, and the top works great, so do the windows, and all other electronics. Swap is a 6/10 if i say so, not so clean but it works

<cringe>

Well, I gotta be honest - Hang onto it. You can probably put it out there, but I paid $3500 for a low-mileage, pristine vert about 5 years back.
