Just wondering what you guys spent to drop your rb25det into your 240. Im more interested in the s13 swaps but i wouldnt mind hearing how much it cost you guys to drop one into your s14. Im thinking about doing one in the future and im thinking

3500-engine1200-engine&transmission mounts + drive shaft from mkinney1000-misc things (fmic?)

thats 5700 if you did the install yourself, is this about how much you guys spent? thanx

I'm right there with you. Lets just say, my goal was $5k but I went 200% over with the MOD BUG and "MISC EXPENSES".

To top that off... its doesnt even run....!!???!

I second (or third) that. I've put enough money into my car to buy a couple of other 240s and the sad part is that its pretty much stock and still need a lot of work. Its definitely not the best swap to do on a strict budget.

Oh man Why did I even come in here, yah I was thinking like 5,000 but that went out the window when I got F*^%ed on my clip. It came eventually but was missing:radiator, Up pipe, O2 sensor, MAF, clutch slave cyclinder, clutch master, rotors/calipers, shifter (the enitre thing not the knob)) I'm sure I'm missing something. And I had to order lots of these from Japan so mucho shipping 50 bucks to ship a shifter sucks. still haven;t installed it yet either. If it turns out to be dead I'm am ripping the guy i bought it from a new A-hole. after he got my money he stopped communication COMPLETELY. I got mine from Dragdriftautox.com and will probably by another motorset or clip from them in the future. Do a search on your question and you will find this has been discussed a lot and some good suggestions.

i tried budgeting 17k for rb26dett in s14 w/ the car. but i think that is way out the window already. i've spent a good 12-13 already. still have lots to do (turbos, pay for machine work, piping, radiator, misc crap)
