I paid 300 dollars for my vert and drove her home

About 500 dollars in parts later I got new brakes all the way around, 5spd is going in Monday, and a new pioneer head unit.

$4500 from dealer in ATL1993 Completely stock, broken antenna and cruise didn't work101k milesPurchased October '06

Mods:New OEM full antenna w/ motorNew rear window switchesZ33 seatsWheels/tiresFender roll/pullK&N drop intanabe springs/tokico shocksfront strut tower barMegan TC rodsMoog Tie rod endsBV RUCAsAudio (componets/tweeters/sub/headunit/2 amps)5 speed on the way, but only paying for clutch, everything else free from donor car

Probably $3300 in mods. So around $7800 in total so far.

If we can keep this on topic and good info it can be used as a sticky in the Vert buyers guide.

I paid $1000 minus the tax, tag, and title for mine and drove it back from Philly. Car was in perfect running condition, other than an idle problem that I fixed the next day. Only problems are dead clear on the passenger door, and some light damage to the left front fender.

Then paid around $150 for new rear rotors and pads, new Nissan battery, inspection and emissions, and new wiper blades. Employee discount though.

after mods, most of this is from junkyards so it's a lot cheaper, or were cheap from a member on here or a friend.

S14 seats- $31.80

full 5spd swap-$500, haven't installed it yet

J30 diff- $31.80 and around $14 in gear oil for it. So around $45.80

door pillar mod- bought a grinder and blades for $45 from Lowes, two door panels for $45. So $90

So, I'm sitting at around $630 in mods if I don't include the purchase of the angle grinder.

i got mine in 06. for 3500. bone stock minus the 5 spd swap. that was the selling point for me. it had 140k on it, i got all fluids and hoses checked and replaced, but since then. i got:

sport max rims- $500 ( not yet installed)new back plastic window - $90 installed by some boat captain. s14 seats - $50 from a friendnew brake pads and rotors all around. - $200 i got Megan coil overs from a friend - $600

thats all so far. i plan on spending probably 3 times more money in parts and paint and engine parts. i love my vert.

Oh boy..

When I bought it:I paid $3000. 169,000 miles (didn't matter though). What was done when I bought it:5 lug conversion all around with 300zx parts and wheels,5 speed swap done as well.VLSD,Coupe door conversion.Couple of extra gauges for when I went turbo...

What I have done to it:Silvia front end with Brick headlights + Aero.Threw in an RB25DET and all swap-related parts.I have an Apexi PFC I am going to toss in and use to get tuned.New Exhaust to accompany the new motor.New front brakes (300zx), and new rear rotors/pads with 300zx M/C (waiting to go on the car).

I also plan on putting Coilovers on and maybe some new suspension arms.

I paid a bit more than I wanted to for a 1993 car, but given the rarity of the 240sx verts and the mint looking dash/interior, and the fact that the majority of stuff I would have had to do before I could do a swap was already done...I think I got a decent deal. Whenever I get my suspension fixed up it will be a guaranteed beast.

I just paid $3,100 for my vert. Talked the lady down from 3,500. The paint is good, the body is straight except for two quarter-sized dents (not creased, so I can pull them out) above the wheel well. Top is okay, needs some minor repairs, and the back window is good. It's a '93 with 97000 miles on it.

Plans include an SR20DET swap with 5-speed conversion, suspension and wheel upgrade, and some interior parts. All said, I'd like to do the upgrades with about 7-9,000, bringing the total to about 10-13,000.

I paid $500 for my vert with a blown up motor.

$1300+ for the KA rebuild (did myself)$300 JDM S14 seats$1500 guesstamation on most other buys.

I would guess I have at least $4000-$4500 in my car if not just a bit more. But it will never leave my ownership...so every penny is worth it.

If you're not joking. "Drift tax" is known as the increase in asking prices of 240s due to the recent popularity of drifting.

$4200 three years ago. 89,000 miles, extremely clean, leather, fresh paint, working windows, etc. Since then exhaust, new top, CAI, tail lights, plugs and wires, blah, blah, blah. I choose not to know how much I've spent since then

I paid the most I guess.

Bought in 1999, and it had 92,000 miles on it. I spent about $7,500 for everything including tax, registration and insurance etc. At the time, it was only 5 years old, so I thought the price was okay. Paint was in perfect condition and there was no major damages or flaw. First issue was front engine seal leak in 2002 or 2003 something like that.

I paid 600 for mine. Sat for 6 years under a car port over in Tucson AZ. Trailered it back to the shop, bought a KADE with 5 speed swap (everything included) for 350 from a friend. I've had it running and driving for the past month or so and added a Personal Steering (150) wheel with Ksport quick release for free (gay mod I know but I don't want to F up my steering wheel in the AZ sun this summer). I had to buy new tires all around because mine were flat spotted so that ran me an extra 300. I got normal clean 240sx door panels for free. Now all I need is a dash, seats and carpet and my interior is done. Lots more money to be spent on it, but this will be the last time I total it all up.

Bought my 1993 vert for $2250, bone stock, 130,xxx with a decent stereo. Never put any money into it aside from general maintenance.

Bought the 1994 vert for $5000, 65,xxx, strut bar, S14 seats, powder coated valve cover, five speed swap, decent stereo/sub, and shipped it from Florida for $500. Put maybe $2000 into it with a generic CAI and AEM filter, Enkeis and Falken tires, a new top, stereo and bigger sub. If I can find a reliable speed shop around me I hope to put a BRM catback and decent headers on. Also dream of doing an Eaton supercharger and Z32 brakes. If only I had a damn shop to put them on.

I'm in line with 94_240sx's .. I bought mine in 1999 and paid about $7900 it had somewhere around 68K I think. With mods.. I can't say at risk of being smothered with a pillow in my sleep by my wife.. but way more than I really want to keep track of. I think we did a similar thread like this a bit ago and I was near $10K of add ons and still have way to much to go.
