I have looked at prices from a few places and they vary considerably. I cant see any good reason for the variation. I checked Hybrid Dynamics which is very close to me, but they want $2700 for an S13 Blacktop swap!!! So they might be reputable, but I cant see paying that much for it.

-How much did you pay?-Where from?-Any problems?

Well from your response I would say you're referring to the cost of the motor set/clip and not the cost of installation correct? $2700 for a blacktop SR motorset/clip sounds about right to me. Some charge less, some more.

I misread, that price is slightly high. But paying for a good running engine it would be worth it. If its trash then obviously its not worth it.

Yea its just the swap, not a clip. I thought that was high, I would expect to pay around $2300 for a decent swap. But thats why Im trying to see what people paid.

The price is slightly higher than usual. You could always try to piece it together to save a buck. But that takes longer.

The color is dark gray or charcoal metallic, the paint code is KG2.

I havent purchased mine yet(still debating SR or KA) but IF i go SR which is a good possibility I believe im going with Heavy Throttle. 4500 for a COMPLETE swap.FMIC/clutch among tons of other things. And i have always heard about terrific customer service. Anyone else agree, or hear the same?

Why would you want to put a minivan engine in your 240? :

EnjukuRacing does detailed, visually inspected and Compression tested S13 Blacktops for 2499.99.

Check JDM-online.com They have pretty decent prices as well.

I paid $1800 for mine from JDM miami but I also hand picked it from what they had in stock. Don't forget to add the price of intercooler piping, exhaust and a fuel pump.

With my install I also had to modify my driveshaft and a few other things that cost money but I'm still under $3000 installed.

it all goes back on the saying.. "You get what you pay for" I don't care where i get my motors from aslong as they are low mileage. alot of people bash EBAY sr20's but depends on what your looking for..like for me i bought it from a guy in PA for 1800, full swap but i also dumped another 4k into it and im at 360whp

Keep in mind just because the motor is XXXX amount of money your not factoring in the cost of **** you might want to upgrade, such as radiator, motor mounts, fans, FMIC, bov ect. that can be well over 1k right there. alot of people think hey that motor is only $XXXX im gonna buy it and swap it..so they end up buying it and it sits in the garage for a year while they afford parts for it.
