I just got home from test driving a G37 Coupe. I looked a the new 370z yesterday, and it's just definitely not practical for me whatsoever.

Obviously, the G37 Coupe would be my next, most adjacent choice of car.I want a G37x with Sport and either Tech or Advanced Tech Package. The salesman said the G37x with Sport and Advanced will run me $45k, about. Can you guys give me an idea of what you paid and what packages you purchased so I make sure I'm not losing money? I'm paying cash up front, so I can hopefully talk down the price a bit, but I don't wanna get screwed over if I know better deals exist. I may even look at a lightly used one, with 5k miles or less, but with Sport and Tech packages.

Let me know please. Thanks!

Yeah, you get it for a lot cheaper if you wait and get it lightly used. However, it's gonna be harder to find all the features you want.

What trim is it, and did it come with any packages?

I can't decide if I want the X or Sport package. I'm thinking I'll go with the 37 Sport with Nav System and Premium System, which the salesman said would run me around $44k! Yeah, bull s*** I'm not paying that much for it. I'm talkin' like maybe $37k.

I will def look into a left over though. The salesman has called me 3 times and e-mailed me twice since Saturday - he's driving me nuts.

I was about to buy a new '08 G37 6MT, blk/stone with prem/nav from Ray Catena Infiniti 10 days ago for $36,900, until the local dealer matched his price. It was the best price I found across the US. You may want to check it out.

Ray Catena? Hm, I didn't even know he sells Infiniti. I guess since it's relatively local I should research the location.

Thanks for the input. I appreciate it. We've bought a few Lexuses (Lexi? lol) from him, so my parents have a salesman with them.

Thanks again!

you can get 6MTs with prem, and nav new for low 36s, plus tax and tags. Wait for end of jan and it'll go lower. The risk is that you may not get desired color or precise options you want...

Guys, always try to buy on the last day of the month as well close to closing time. That's when they're struggling to make their numbers and ready to cut deals.

I decided I wanted Ivory, so the dealer here in Tucson had it shipped from Phoenix. It has Premium, Premium wheels/tires upgrade (19's), Stone interior with the aluminum, lighted kick plates and trunk net. listed for 41k.

Has 600 miles on it now.

Well Brett - you've put quite a few miles on it in such little time. They didn't drive it to you did they?!

Thanks for the update

Can we restart this post? What quotes are people getting for 2009 G37 Coupes now (as the economy continues to deteriorate and the Treasury Dept continues to flounder)?

List your model (base, journey, sport, "X") and options on the car so we can get an "apples to apples" comparison.

And list cash price (not OTD) because sales tax rates vary across the nation.

I'm being quoted a cash price (not OTD) in the mid 36K range (2009 G37 Journey Coupe w/ premium package).

Jon,

No. I am happy with virtually every aspect of this car. If I had to think of a couple things that I can't give a 10/10 to are the following couple of items: 1) the width of the driver's seat. Although I'm 6'3" and weight 220lbs, I had plenty of room in my '92 Dodge Stealth. However, it is a little snugger feel around the side of your body. However, this is purely individual as you may have a completely different physique. Second, maybe a little more low end torque, but that's minimal...Other than that, and that was really a stretch, I love the car.

Oh ya, it just sucks in the snow. Then again, that has nothing to do with the car, but rather that it's rear-wheel drive and sport tires!

Any other questions, let me know!

Well I'm much smaller than 6'3 and 220 so I'll fit in the car well! And you don't want to put winter tires on the car?

Oh how about visibility during lane changes? Any big blind spots? And good color combo on your car. I'm thinking the same.

In Tulsa, there isn't enough snow to justify putting winter tires on the car. Although, I'm sure it would help considerably!

No blind spots. Rear view visibility is pretty good. Have you test driven one?

I love my color combo. However, if it was available, I would have chosen Lakeshore Slate Blue with a wheat interior. Oh well, that was not an optional color for the '08 G37!
