I looked around the threads to see if anyone has posted anything similar to this topic and I haven't found one so I posted this. If there is by any chance one posted sorry for reposting =P. Anyways i'm close to purchasing a Cube 1.8SL, but I'm not exactly sure how much I could haggle the price down or what I can actually really get it for. For instance, I don't want to offer something super low that they will never give me ever(sorry i'm a first time car buyer). Basically I'm looking for a 1.8SL steel gray or black with SL Package. I saw one at the dealership for $20,000, and I was wondering how low I would able to knock that down to out the door? I'm planing to down 3k and try to do payments around $250. I know it might sound stupid to some or most of you, but that is my budjet range. Yeah I can settle for the low end models, but I'm trying to settle for more with what I have, who wouldn't? I also heard nissan does balloon payments too, but not exactly sure yet. If anyone can offer me some help tips or price range I could deal them with on either SL base, or SL with Pref. Pkg, I thank you a lot!

Well you should be able to get a pretty good deal on an 09 cube if you can still find them. If you are looking at 10 models then you might not be able to talk down much. I know when I got my cube they wouldn't budge on the price. I had mine with cash for clunkers though so our total was 17,200 for a krom model

ahh i see.. nice on the krom. I just got off the phone with one of the dealership guys, gave me a price 18,881 on a 10 1.8SL, from 18,320. He also said thats 500 below invoice, which didn't really make sense to me, because the msrp was placed at 18,320. I'm trying to get a 1.8SL base now, for around 17,500 if I can... I'm trying to look for an 09 steel gray, maybe white(depends if I can find steel gray). BTW NICE CUBE, at first I wasn't about to get the cube, cause I didn't know if i truly wanted it, but after I saw yours, the cube stole me. hahaha love the roof rack :dblthumb:

Thanks! Glad to know I am converting others! :P

Anyways, the base SL is 17,500. Then they tack on destination and handling on all Nissan models. If you can find an 09 you can def get a better deal and more options. Good luck shopping! Oh and it doesn't hurt to look at other dealerships yourself. IE. Seeing if there is a more helpful sales rep.

I live in st. louis and talked to people at every dealership in the area. But the way I got the deal was I checked with sam's club and costco both have deals on new cars. A local dealership got back to me with the Sams club price of 16,915 I said I would take it if it was an out the door price and they agreed.
