Just out of curiosity, we can all add up the total parts that should have to be bought for an engine swap, but how much did everything actually come to for everyone here? Just engine and parts, not including car. Just thought this would make an interesting post ;)

too damn much. Probably about 4k for motor/parts/etc. Then again I did do a timing chain job with new oem parts, greddy head gasket, and ARP'ed everything I could get my hands on. That includes tomei ras, apexi intake, greddy hotpipe, sard r2d2 through type bov, welding of the hotpipe for the bov, silicone hoses, new hoses, gaskets, motor mounts, downpipe, etc.

I spent right at $3500 for the clip, belts, hoses, plugs, intake, clutch, boost gauge, self install, fluids, misc other. Then about a $1000 more on greddy oilpan, downpipe, testpipe, exhaust, greddy oil filter relocation kit and a few other gauges.

get ready to have fun in the car and dont think about the price. those s14 motors pull hard. real hard. after getting my redtop in i realized that for a steet car an s14 motor is prob better. thats if you dont need 75438902 hp. nice fat torque curve.

stay stoked!

Who's doing your swap? XAT? They did mine and they do great work.

I went with the S14 and it pulls nice and hard. I highly recommend them and I recommend your setup, but know this for sure...you will need an aftermarket clutch. When you crank up the boost to 14lbs and put down around 250hp to the ground, that clutch won't hold. Don't fool yourself into thinking that it will. It will work, but you won't be able to launch at high boost. Not a chance. You can take it easy on low boost, but even then you'll slip. And save your money on the turbo timer. The turbo is water cooled and Glenn...who's got the highest hp SR in tampa doesn't bother running one. Get a boost controller instead! Check out my cardomain page in my signature.
