hay guys,

i'm building a Drag S14 and i have two options :

1- the 300ZX trany witch will bolt to the KA and only i need is to swap the bell-howsing (SP?)...?

2- the TH400 trany....i know a built TH400 can handel 1200RWhp easy...but the down side is not to have over drive....

So can any tell me how a STOCK Z32 trans can handel....and if there is any after market TQ converter....

also if there any comaney/shop that REbuild the Z32 auto trans so it can handel the power....?

Thanks'n'advnace

Regards,

Ali

I'm sure there is an aftermarket out there for the z32 auto trans as I've seen low 10 second auto z32 drag cars. I'm just not sure on who offers what as I've never considered building an auto Z32.

I edited your title of the thread so that it is spelled and worded a little better to hopefully get you more of a response.

The stock auto is on the threshold at anything over 400 rwhp from what I have seen.

You need to look into http://www.specialtyz.com They offer a fully built auto trans with a billet flex plate and precision industries torque convertor that will handle about anything that you can throw at it. They have it in their 9 second street Z. We have installed several of them, the shifts are incredibly crisp and the stall brings boost on really quick.

Z1 motorsports also offers a built auto trans, I don't have any experience with them though. I haven't seen any feedback about their trans online either.

Yes we have used their tranmissions in several customers cars as well as our shop Z32 equipped with twin TD-0520G's. We have another one at the shop getting ready to be installed as part of a Z32 TT conversion.

I can't say how it will perform with the 240 KA but it works extremely well in the Z32's.
