I have a S14 sr20 and i am wondering how much hp my stock maf can handle. I am deciding whether or not to do z32 maf swap. My goal is around 280rwhp. If the stock maf can handle it i might just keep it.

I believe it's somewhere around 250-260 rwhp.

for you application use a cobra one, it has better resolution then the Z32

P.S. cobra is rated to 350 while the Z32 to about 450-550

i wouldn't trust the stock MAF above 250whp.Why the 280 hp goal? it doesn't really make sense. you can get to 240ish w/o spending a lot of money. 300+ hp can be had for about the same price as 280hp. Above 250 is where you will need a turbo upgrade, MAF upgrade, injector upgrade, and some sort of ECU retune/hack to control it all. Just doesn't seem worth it for an extra 30-40 hp.

just my 2cents

"some is good, more is better, and to much is just enough"

It's always worth it, his problem is he set his goal too low. Go for at least 300rwhp so you don't end up like every other SR on the road with the exact same mods making the exact same 244rwhp.

thanx for the replies guys.

I would love to have 350rwhp, but I have a t28 turbo on my s14 sr. They make slightly more power than the t25 i think...Someone told me it maxes out at 270-280rwhp? I dont want to change the turbo because thats gonna be $$$. Thats y i set my goal to be near 280rwhp. I have s-afc2 already. My plan is to get s15 injectors along with a bigger mafs and try boost the t28 to around 1 bar...If u guys have some suggestions do tell me! thanx!

there are a few ppl making 300rwhp on the T28. Might want to get a Greddy O2 housing, and maybe some smallish cams :)
