X pipe or h Pipe X pipes have no resonators H pipe do I think.
X pipe eleminates the resonator. H pipe is a freer flowing resonator.
A couple things the h pipe eliminates the the stock resonator. Which is basically the 3rd muffler with a more free flowing one. And doing catback exhaust on a NA or even axle back wont give you performance gains. ON a TT if you eliminate the restrictive resonator it will help but it will be almost unnoticeable..I think an X pipe though would give measurable gains.
while yes it is a Little restrictive the NA doesn't put out enough power to exceed those restrictions.
On the other side removing the 3rd muffler will make your car louder. Performance mufflers are already louder taking out the resonater will make it louder with a X pipe. With an H pipe I dont think i will be much different than stock.
So yeah if the cat backs your looking at use H pipes I wouldnt get the H pipe. I would get a X pipe.
Get axle back and like a I think you could sell a stillen X pipe for the most everyone seems to want one but its discontinued.. i don't know what is the next best thing?
