How much can an altima transmission take?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

I searched…nothing

I’m planning to go all motor on this one, I will have around 220-230 crank hp + maybe 35-50 shot of N2O.I know that the altima transmission shares the same parts as the maxima (95-99) transmission so it’s strong but can it take 230 hp?

If I just get a VB upgrade will a TC be necessary?

youre starting it here too... questions and statements where you contradict yourself. i dunno if you do it on purpose, but acting like you know what youre talking about, doesnt mean that you do. get your head out of the magazines. i doubt very seriously that nissan would use a transmission that is only rated between 10-20 hp more than the engine its bolted to. you and i both know that you arent going to get 230-250 out of your engine "all motor" which, its not going to be if you add a "35-50 shot of N2O".

If you run a transmission cooler, that would handle a 75 shot of nitrous on stock internals for a while probably. If you plan on putting any decent amount of horsepower to the ground, I would recommmend either a 5 speed swap, but if you insist on being an automatic, go wtih the TC and VB upgrades. If you have 230 crank hp, you're gonna wanna get it to the ground more efficiently, via the transmission mods. (asleep, if you don't like his threads, then don't go in them, or post in them. These activities might get you banned and I know you have alot of knowledge so I don't want to see that happen)

I haven't seen any of his posts that would potential hurt anyone's car in anyway. You just have personal problems you and checkered ought to deal with outside of here.
