Thinking about going with powerlabs GT35R single turbo setup and a 03-05 350z. http://www.intensepower.com/pogttukit350.html

How much power can I get out of the 600cc denso inj. and stock bottom end before I have to build the motor and upgrade fuel systems.

I don't want it if I can't make it out run my SR. With my cams and 25psi on my SR I should break 11.5 in the 1/4!

That kit says 400whp, I wouldn't put that much power on a stock vq bottom end from what I understand the rods are the weak point I'd at least get new rods/pistons. Did you do some searching on my350z.com tons of guys over there are running boosted Z's

I know a couple people with stock bottom ends putting close to 400whp so thats about 430-450 chp. I personally plan to put 400 or so to my stock VQ35de with boost.

I'm pushing 9.5 psi and the program my piggyback has is based off of an 8psi tune that made 375whp. My guess is that i'm at or very close to 400whp. I wouldn't go higher than 10psi with my setup, though. If you want to go > 400, boosted, do a build. With 600cc injectors, upgraded fuel pump, GT35R turbo output capabilities, you should definitely look at a build, otherwise you're not really taking advantage of what you have.

are there any strength differences between the VQ35DE from the altima/maxima and the VQ35DE from the 350z?

how would a turbo altima engine with turbo cams compare to a turbo 350z engine with stock cams?

do altimas have VVT like the 350z's do?

my current understanding is that everthing is the same except the heads, and misc. mounting type things (mounts, olipan, blah blah...)

other than the obvious there are only a few differenced between the two vq35's the biggest difference is that the 350z's vq has a slightly different compression ratio. other than that I am not too sure what else internally is different

That is not true, you could boost 10psi easy with just low compresion pistons, that should take you over the 400hp with no problem if you have a 350z, and yea a racing fuel system would help you a lot, but that's 'bout as much mod... you need to get to that level, there's no reason for you to waste extra money, that is unless u want to go spray.!!!

U should be able to be around the 370whp to 380whp without a chip, (piggy back) tunning on ur oem computer.

What's not true?

BTW, I've heard of VQs blowing up under low boost when not tuned properly. Not tuning at all is an even worse idea.
