~ 15Psi or so before the T3 loses efficiency and is producing more heat than power. This is intercooled of course, you could go until about 9 or 10 pounds running 93 and be safe without an IC.

Im running 11 lbs on mine, with only intake and exhaust. I havnt noticed any detonation yet sofar. Once intercooled, you can usually run about 15 or 16, but the turbo will become very inefficiant.

Id say start out at like 8 or 9, drive around for a while and pay very close attention as to if it detonates at all or not. If it doesnt, try tuning it up to 10 or 11. I definetly wouldent go past 11 however.

Measure the after intercooler [plenum] air temperature and do the density calculations.................each 11F above ambient is a 1% power potential LOSS. High PSI with low density is a waste and places undue stress on everything.

Most IC are very inefficient when old compared to new [80%]

Same general question, but also how do i check what the waste gate is set at if I dont have a boost controller? Kinda new to turbo cars because i got enough power from my triton V-10!

ok this thread has me confused, the VG30DET wasn't avialable in the states in any stock configuration, the VG30ET came non intercooled in the Z31, 10 psi si the safe limit in stock trim, the VG30DETT came in the Z32 and was intercooled and can take 15 psi in stock trim as it did come intercooled, of course adding an I/C where there was none or adding ECU chips or larger injecotrs allow for higher boost levels,

and to the guy asking how to turnup the boost, in a stock application you need a boost controller of some sort, if you have a TT you the best route is electronic boost controller as you need to controll 2 seperate turbo's and it's nearly impossible to set 2 of them at indentical levels and with an electronic unit you can wire up 2 fast acting valves to open them both at the same time
