Hi,I'm a bit of a noob to turbo engines so I'd appreciate some help.Thinking of getting an S15. Its got a Walbro fuel pump and Nismo 555cc injectors but is running stock MAF.

Its also got a Garrett GT2871R Turbo, Apexi Power FC and a Greddy boost controller installed. I believe its been tuned, but the boost controller got stolen. Its been replaced but current owner doesn't know what boost it was running/tuned to. Latest dyno showed about 208kW.

Just wondering how much boost I can run on the car before I have to change the MAF? (probably Z32?). I wouldn't want to do any damange to the car.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks... yeah I guess I'll probably have to.

But could you give me a rough guess of how much boost this can take now?

I called up a workshop and they said there are complications with putting in a Z32 MAF when there is an aftermarket blow off valve... and they recommend putting the stock one back on. Have any of you had similar experiences?

Thanks.

That's , call some one other then them. I would think the 480cc injectors(maxed out) and turbo could push 300whp, so the maf could probably too.

With the GT2871r and 550cc's, I would get the z32 for more head room. ( the power fc will need to be tuned for it tho)

Oh, and what happens when the MAF is "maxed out"?

I've heard it won't be able to correctly read the amount of air coming through, and you could end up running lean and doing some damage?

ONly thing to keep in mind that you can't just get an mail-order ECU tune since, IIRC, no companies (IE JWT or Enthalpy) have cracked the S15 ECU yet.

If he has a PFC hs won't need a mail order tune.

Oops, looking over what he wrote just now, I didn't realize he had a PowerFC.
