well i still have a stock fuel system but jst upgraded my turbo it's SP 60-1 with .48 back housing and a 60 wheel and the waste gate has a 12psi spring do u think i could safely run 12psi with out blowing the motor. and yes i also changed my valve springs and retainers new rocker arm stoppers and cams

Dunno, thats pretty close to the limit.

I'd run a 7# spring until I could afford the other upgrades.

stock fuel as in regular fuel pump? if so.... DO NOT GO OVER 7lbs! if you have an upgraded pump... i'd say 10 would be okay..

lol if the stock actuator is at 12psi, and that big of trim. I'd dig up your old turbo if it's still use-able. Go spend 80 bucks on a walbro, easiest install in your life. took me all of 1-2 hours without any knowledge. just started unscrewing, yes Screwing. Take the old one out, change the fuel filter, and now connect the positive and negative.

(Took me an hour because i lost the adapter and just when to advanced auto and picked up some connectors.) It's really a 30-40 minute install at most.

If you NEED to drive you car, do what you have to, just dont gun it or stomp the gas. As long as you don't hit full boost your car will be alright. I say DONT because you'll be tempted and gun it and that mangy fuel pump wont be able to supply enough fuel, run Super (basically Dry) lean, and goodbye baby.

Are you running a FMIC?

If you overboost you'll know it, you'll feel the car stumble, its not usually a quick overboost that kills a motor but more of an extended or repeated thing.

Buy a 7# spring.

Motors cost more than springs.
