basically, your answer is "search"...I honestly haven't looked into turbo upgrades, but seriously try a search for the two things: "stock internals" and then "turbo upgrade(s)" using the google bar at the top right, and you will find all kinds of stuff and all kinds of threads about people's setups.

IBTL?? irs'ed?? you have both lost me. Mine wasn't done too well, so I traded it for a 96 eclipse after about a year and a half. I liked my shaved ride with the remote door poppers tho. I am going to update my "old rides" page one of these days....anyway, I guess we are off topic. I just keep that pic and the pic of my Nissan with my JDM prelude (in the background...lol) in my signature just to show that I am open-minded...

anyways, I hope my references helped you..

Boost is irrelavent unless you know what turbo your running, and the tune will also determine what the break point will be.

i see, but there has to be a certian limit ofboost the motor can handle tho and im jut wondering what it is, caz i want to upgrade my turbo and injectors and turn the boost up and geta tune, and im jsut wondering how high the boost can go for it to still be reliable

If 300 is all you want, my turbo would probably support it. I have a garrett t3 super 60. You can find them on any garrett authorized dealer website, atpturbo, cheapturbos.com, etc. Dont buy a turbo from ebay, only an authorized garrett dealer. They will not be less than $600+.

If you want a bigger turbo than that, any t3/t04e will work, but with the larger t04e compressor housing, you'll need a spacer inbetween your manifold and turbo, and longer manifold studs.

Holset HY35....good power, quick spool, bolts to the stock mani with small mods, will get you to 300whp,and is cheap.

Get a good tune...run that sucker at 15psi with some 550cc injectors and a z32 mafs and voila your the man.

The Stock MAF can get you to 300hp so you won't have to change it.

alright, i want some thngi a little bigger than a super 60 , my friend has a t70 turbo that will botl to a t3 manifold would that fit mine, also do you think that would be to big, i would run as high as boost as i could go to be reliable on the motor with bigger injectors and a tune possibly a z32 mafs, let me know thanks he said i could test it out if i want before i buy it could i test jsut the trubo with my stock motor? i have a boost controllr could i put the turbo on and run at around stock boost and see? or what let me know what you guys thnik and would a t70 turbo bolt to stock mani and fit fine in a 240??

also what garrett t3 turbo would you reccomend, not being the to4e??? i want around 350whp

300-350

what turbo would be better, im not sure what the difference is the

Garrett T3/60-1 w/ .63 a/r

Garrett T3/60-1 w/ .82 a/r

Garrett T3/60-1 w/ .48 a/r

what one wold be better that what is a/r?

for 300-350 I would suggest a t3/t04e with a .63ar in either a 50 or 57trim, and yes it will bolt up with no problems, unlike what others have said above... if you get it with a ford 5 bolt exhaust housing you can even get an internal wastegate and be a true bolt on application...

really/, what if i didnt want to go with the to4e what about the 60-1 what a/r should i get and would that be a bolt on application?

The t04e just refers to the housing on the cold side... you could get it in a 60trim which would be like a mini-me 60-1 and still bolt up(the 60-1 has an .70a/r compressor, the t04e has a .60 a/r compressor), would be pretty laggy on a rb20 however

If you got the 60-1 you would need a spacer and the stuff mentioned above, or a new topmount manifold...

I am making 320whp on stock internal RB20. Got 440cc inj, z32maf, rom tune ecu, safc2, AVCR, FMIC, 2.5'' HKS Exhaust and an Apexi upgrade turbo that I can't find any specs on but bolts right up, just had to fab up the oil and water lines. The Apexi turbo looked very similar in size to the stock turbo, but bigger wheels and more efficient design make it produce more power. Power peaked at about 6,300rpm at 16.5psi. This is with a z32 non turbo clutch, I am sure i would be transfering a little more power with a better clutch.

300hp is a very attainable goal for this motor without cracken it open.pic of my turbo...i understand that it's a RB25 upgrade turbo

huh? unless you've got a 26, or a 25 on a very forgiving dyno, you're not making that much power on a stock turbo. mine made 305hp, on a dynapack. and i personally think that dyno inflated the numbers a bit.
